Second Update! Settings menu and a few more changes
Hello!
After recieving a bunch of feedback from my beautiful 6 person community, I've made some changes that will adress some of the problems the previous Demo had.
For some (most) people positioning the boat to grab the F-POT's required too much finesse and was a frustrating experience, the boat drifted way too much and the slow player movement made it painfully slow to go back and forth from the crane to the bridge to make corrections on positioning.
To solve this I made a few changes.
The player now sprints way faster than before, from a 20% increase in movement speed to a 60% increase!
The colliders of the grabber, buoy, and F-POT grab point have been increased in size to make the process of grabbing things easier.
I've added a monitor that allows the player to see in real time feed from a camera placed where the buoys are supposed to be to be grabbed, this will make it so that now you don't need to walk out of the bridge to know if you can grab a buoy or not.
Another thing I procrastinated about doing is now done, the game has now a settings menu!
It's simple and it will be expanded from now on but it adds a few essential things like a volume slider and V-sync toggle.
The enviornment has also been slightly changed, I've added a few more rocks and cliffs that where missing.
Some bugs where fixed, now the boat can be moved wile having F-POT's on board without the game going crazy.
That's it for today! Thanks for reading and I'm looking forward to more feedback, as always.
