About
Your job is simple, drive your boat, collect the creatures. There shouldn't be any surprises, everything is explained in game, dont worry.
This is a demo of my soon to release game on Steam. This was supposed to be a short project of about two weeks of development to fund my next bigger project The High School Experience but I ended up wasting three months on this xD.
The game has some hard and frustrating controls (on purpose, kinda), I hope they're not too annoying!
Please! Post feedback on the game, feel free to suggest ideas and critique my work as this is still a work in progress, thanks! :)

Okay, I really like the idea and the atmosphere of the game. So that is a big plus. But for me, that is where it ends. True to the description, the controls are very annoying. Not only how the crane controls and the ship moves sometimes but also just the ludicrise button mapping. It is also not helped by the fact that the crane blocks a part of your view when you try to position yourself correctly. But I kind of got used to it after the 3rd catch. The game sadly feels not very satisfying for me. Spoilers ahead but here the TLDR: Love the idea, dislike the execution.
It just feels cheap to fight against the controls for 40 minutes or so with nothing happening. No change in atmosphere, no spooky happenings, nothing. Nothing up to the last catch, where you get jumpscared and the game ends. This feels a bit inspired by Iron Lung, but where the atmosphere there builds up over time, this does not. So the ending feels very cheap, and to be brutally honest, if this was a game that I paid for, I would refund it.
Despite all of it, like I said, I really like the idea of the setting and the gameplay. Im going to keep my eyes open for the full release to see what is different and maybe give it a chance.
This is exactly what i needed to hear, i'm very thankful for your reply and honest opinion.
I want to balance between hard to control but engaging and at the same time not fall into frustrating/boring gameplay, and right now, the game is too clunky for its own good.
I will focus on making the game easier to control and, in general, fair to play. I also think the way I explain the controls could be improved, as of now the five pages of text are a big turn off for most people.
I should also reward the player every time an F-POT is successfully emptied.
As I said, thank you sou much. This feedback is invaluable to the development of the game and I really appreciate your comment.
What an amazingly fun and interesting game! I love the game mechanics, even though I sucked at them! XD The wreckages were pretty cool too! It was also so fun trying to get the F-POT's onto the ship! Oh and the ending totally got me! Awesome job!
I'm really happy that you liked it, thank you SO MUCH for the video! :))
Thank you for making such a fun and interesting game! I can't wait to see what the full game will be like!
Nice this was really good demo game so far I like it anyway well done keep it up!
Thank you so much!
I'm playing this game right now and OMG that's so difficult !
I can't manage to open the cage it's to far to reach
update : my bad I put it backward lol
Hahaha yeah it can be tough at first, I admit the instructions can be a bit cryptic :) Thanks for giving it a try, it means a lot.
Ok so here is my real feedback : This demo is really good ! Maybe a little bit to tricky but I'm just impatient. To be honest I didn't finish the demo actually (sorry) but I can congratulate you for your work.
And one more thing, please make the map show where we are ! Like a radar I mean. I have a very poor sense of direction.
The idea is that the player has to orientate himself using the map and the compass of the ship, the map has an arrow indicating the direction of the North, that way the player can deduce his orientation and location.
Thanks again for playing, and by the way, you only need to grab one of the jails (F-POT's) to finish the game, but i wont say wich one ;)
